I am a hopeless romantic and just love these old romantic movies! What a picture.
Wow! I never knew anything about flickr or websites similar to it. What a good idea! Now I know what I'll have to do when I get home this evening - back up my personal photos by putting them on a website such as this.
I can see that this sort of resource sharing could be useful to any profession - including libraries.

Catching up with technology after babies!

Can you be charged with misleading people in blogging? I mean, I've named myself Mumma Spunk & people may be inclined to assume that being spunky means modern & up to date with technology. But in actual fact, I seem to have fallen off the "technology wagon" since having my two baby girls.

So - now it's time to catch up! Since having the girls I've been fortunate in being able to keep my job on a jobshare basis & now only work one day a week doing Interlibrary Loans for Redland City Council.

The State Library's "Learn To Test Drive" Initiative is actually forcing me to be "blogging savvy" - or at least "blogging wise" which is great for me. I need a push and shove to force me to catch up with what's happening on the net & with blogging in general.

If you couldn't tell, I have no previous experience with blogging & before today didn't know even what it was. Now I'm keen to jump on the net tonight after the girls are asleep & check out what people have "blogged" about topics that interest me. I can definitely see that blogging would be great for use in the library as it's a great way to share information and ideas. It would also be useful for clients to use.

Anyhow, I think that this exercise is going to be useful for me after all. I suppose it won't be long before I'm showing my kids how to blog - and perhaps even what I blogged when I was a spunky mum to them :)

Until next time,
Mumma Spunk
